Blogger Recognition Award

I love awards! I just received the Blogger Recognition Award  from Michelle at Southern By Design. I love her blog, she is fearless in her writing and very engaging to her readers. Thank you Michelle for your nomination.

Well, I have always had a passion for writing. I have made prior attempts to start up a successful blog many many years ago, but I lacked the motivation at the time to really commit time to it. I was probably 22 at the time and like many other 22 year olds, I had far too many extracurricular activities, (AKA partying and doing stupid things HAHA).  Back in June I think it was, geez feels like forever ago, I on a whim made a WordPress account and started pouring out my heart and soul, and everything in between. My blog is very special to me. And I will continue to keep this machine going, because blogging, for me, has become such a humbling and soul searching experience.

I guess what has helped me was always searching for new content to write about and making a folder on my computer of future post suggestions and topics. Also, to engage with your followers. When I first started blogging I realized very early on that its easy to just scroll and like like like, but to actually take the time and read their posts and interact and enage  is the way to have a successful blog. Lastly, write about things that matter, and other things in between. I am eclectic in my thinking so I like to show that on my site. I write  deep meaningful material, but I also like to be silly, or write about my favorite TV show. Really, anything you have to say matters, you just got to get it out there and let the world in.

My three nominees

  1. Life With Grace and Beauty
  2. Home Hugs and Huskies
  3. The Christian Single Mother

If you choose to participate simply answer the two questions 1. How your blog started 2. Advice to new bloggers. Be sure to link back so I can read your answers.

  1. It is the best time to make some plans for the
future and it is time to be happy. I’ve
read this post and if I could I wish to suggest you some interesting things or tips.

Perhaps you can write next articles referring to this article.
I desire to read even more things about it!

  2. So sorry it took me so long to write back, I was out costume shopping and I have these allergies ugh! And you’re totally welcome 🙂 I love your blog and felt you deserved recognition 🙂 I feel the same way. I feel blogging is a calling for me too, and it’s very intimidating putting yourself out there, but once you do you grow a little bit more time you post. I think you’re doing a great job though 🙂 i can tell you have so much to share so embrace it! You will get nothing but great feedback. As far as the answers you have to make a separate blog post. Let me know when you do so I can read your answers 🙂
    Hope you’re having a great night ❤️

  3. Thank you so much for the nomination! it means a lot to me. I loved reading this entry because at 34 years of age I struggle with keeping up my blog. I felt starting my blog was a calling for me and a calling that I still struggle to accept. I have difficulty open the door to my life and letting people in it but I am trying to make steps with this blog to get over that fear.

The words you shared here are very inspiring to me and I am blessed to be able to read them today for a great sense of motivation and direction.

When I post my answers, do I post them as a blog post or post them in the comments of this post?
